for WWII Japanese American relocation camp experiences - My
name is Ed Masuda of Mountain View, CA. I am involved in a project to present the experiences of the Japanese Americans that were interned into the relocation camps during WWII. This event will take place February 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2008. The location will be at the Palo Alto Buddhist Temple located at 2751 Louis Rd in Palo Alto. We will have educational seminars with featured speakers and a display of camp life artifacts. I am in charge of the displays. My plans are to reconstruct a semblance of the camp atmosphere in our gymnasium. I am hoping perhaps one of your members might be interested in showing a jeep or transport type truck at our event to add some authenticity to our event. Please let me know if this is a possibility. Annual Day of Remembrance - I would like to invite you to the 2nd Annual
Day of Remembrance; Keeping the Spirit of '45 ALIVE. We
had a great presence of WWII re-enactors and period military vehicles
last year. The vets loved it! We would love to have some of your members
join us for this day, if available. The program opens at 12noon with a
short parade inside History San Jose Park.

and breakdown below. We would like to line our ballroom with antique Marine Corps equipment, uniforms, and weapons systems. Of course…Live or demilled are fine. We would certainly like to see if the MVCC can assist.
We’re searching for historic Marine Corps equipment to go along with the HMMWVs and 7-ton trucks that we are currently planning to line the South Hall of the convention center. Entry and exit should not be an issue since car shows are held in the facility. We would plan on setting up the day prior.
